Halloween!

 Spoooky...

As Halloween draws closer (only 5 days!!!) I have decided to postpone my book reviewing for today and write a spooky tale! If you enjoy it, make sure to SMASH the comments section with your amazing and kind comments.
For my creative writing course, I'm taking in BLANK BLANK County, in BLANK BLANK country, in BLANK BLANK... Okay, you get it. Well, anyway, my oh so very best teacher gave us a few prompts to write a scene from. Hence the creepy and nerve-racking clown scene I made. Hence me wanting to write another one. Hence THIS.
So, without further ADO, I present to you:

The Mirror of Okdor!

Tap, tap, tap. "Argh!" Hannah grunted, throwing her markers down on the carpet. "I'm trying to draw here!" Hannah peered up, at the window in front of her. Was it coming from there?
Quickly checking the clock, Hannah shook her head. It has midnight. How had she been drawing for that long? Mother would be very ashamed of Hannah. Which usually ended up with a confiscated phone. Or drawing pad. Hannah quickly decided which one was worse and threw her drawing pad under her bed.
Scritch, scratch. Hannah stopped dead in her tracks. Was that coming from the door? The floorboards outside creaked suddenly, making Hannah yelp with pure terror. Oh, she was absolutely going to die. Whether it was Mother outside or some killer.
RUFF, RUFF! Hannah jumped again, screeching, "NO, OHNONONO! PLEASE DON'T KILL MEEEE!" Whatever had been outside her bedroom door whimpered. Scritch, scratch. Was it a dog? Hannah quickly crossed her room, barely even tiptoeing.
The door slowly opened, Hannah's hand on the doorknob. She was pulling it slowly in case it was a murderer and not a dog. Isn't this the witching hour? Hannah wondered, remembering her Roald Dahl books. At least Matilda had met a big friendly giant and not some creepy thing outside her door. Which could be anything, she had to point out. Killer clown, a demon, that Sam dude with the bag over his head...
It was just Luna. Luna waddled inside Hannah's room and hopped on her bed. Luna's Yorkie-pug body barely took up Hannah's pillow, which the dog had claimed for herself.
Hannah smiled and slid the door closed again. Lightly walking, ever-so-quietly over to her bed, she snatched the sketchbook out from under her bed. She did a quick outline of Luna dozing off on her pillow and grinned. It wasn't bad, actually. She'd show this to Mother in the morning. Of course, with a few lies weaved in.
Tap, tap. "Oh, for God's sake..." Hannah began and then realized that the noise was coming from her mirror. TAP, TAP. Come on, Hannah thought, irritated. Now I really, truly, am dead.
As Hannah looked at the mirror, she gasped. Inside, stuck, was another Hannah. But, that Hannah wasn't like her at all. It was a scared, disheveled Hannah. This Hannah, which the real Hannah had now deemed "Not-Hannah" was in a foresty clearing and a surprising beam of sunlight made her face glow. Not-Hannah shouted something into the mirror, both hands to her mouth.
Real Hannah shrugged, but she felt tears coming to her eyes. What was happening? Where was Not-Hannah? Was Not-Hannah in trouble?
Then, in a flash, two goblins with twisted, warty faces grabbed Not-Hannah's arms. Real Hannah pounded the mirror at once. Not-Hannah shook her head, tears streaming down her face.
    Where was Not-Hannah going?
Then, real Hannah noticed something scrawled in the top corner of the mirror. Beware the Mirror of Okdor.
